CMS is looking for a mid-level associate to strengthen its corporate litigation and insolvency law team in Brussels. 

Profile: 

  • You have an excellent knowledge of French and English, a good command in Dutch is a plus 
  • You have gained two to four years of experience in the corporate litigation and insolvency law department of a reputed business law firm 
  • You hold a Belgian law degree with enviable academic results 
  • You have strong analytical skills and a creative mind 
  • You enjoy taking initiatives and have a real interest in business life 
  • You are an enthusiastic team-player, rigorous and attentive to accuracy 

Main responsibilities: 

  • Advise companies and national and international groups in several areas of corporate litigation and insolvency law 
  • Cooperate with the various foreign CMS law firms and the different CMS Belgium departments, to experience the multi-jurisdictional and multidisciplinary approach of cases 
  • Manage files, act with a satisfying degree of independence, under the supervision of a partner or a senior associate 
  • Assist to client meetings
