Legal Counsel

As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Advise the local business on compliance with Belgian laws and regulations.
• Review and draft legal documents, including commercial contracts.
• Supervise local advertising and promotional campaigns.
• Manage litigation matters in collaboration with external lawyers.
• Monitor legislative developments and industry trends in Belgium.
• Ensure compliance through training and information sessions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Contribute to the collaborative "Hub & Spoke" model between Legal, Corporate Affairs, and Compliance teams.
• Handle ad-hoc legal matters and manage internal reporting processes and administrative procedures.

• A Belgian master's degree in law/ Strong understanding of the Belgian Law systems.
• Fluency in Dutch (native speaker), English, and French
• Several years of experience in a business law firm or multinational company (preferably listed) in at least three of the following areas: consumer law, commercial law, contract law, regulatory law, IP/IT & software, media & technology.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a commercial mindset.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Experience thriving in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
• Comfort with legal documentation and reviewing laws and regulations.
• Proactive in translating digital trends and legal challenges into actionable strategies.
